Nigeria: A Fruitful Ministry

Northern Nigeria continues to be one of the bloodiest regions for Christians in the world. GCP supports the work of one of the most effective and strategic ministries in Northern Nigeria. This is what the leader, a surgeon, recently reported:

"We have carried out three evangelistic outreaches among unreached villages in the last six months. We also carried out a great medical-evangelistic campaign. As is our custom for this type of campaign, we gave health talks on personal and environmental hygiene. In addition, we treated more than 250 people for free with different medical conditions. We finished by sharing the Gospel, presenting the death and resurrection of Christ. At least 229 people accepted Christ after. Follow-up and discipleship meetings have continued to date. Our team of missionaries goes out three to four times a week to reach out to the new converts. During follow-up visits to these villages, we worship, offer prayers, and provide teaching. We regularly meet basic needs by providing food and sometimes clothing. We have also erected our small chapel on the proposed site for the construction of our hospital. We believe that this chapel along with a vocational training center that we wish to build, will be crucial to assist in the follow-up and discipleship of new converts who are persecuted by their Muslim families."

Let us pray for the safety of all in this ministry and of every Christian in this violent region of the world.
