Israel & Palestine Crisis
In recent weeks, the terrorist group Hamas attacked different regions of Israel. These attacks left 1,500 dead, dozens injured, and about 200 held as hostages. In response, Israel has declared war on Hamas. The media has presented the tragedy daily but has not talked about the Palestinian evangelical Christians in Gaza. For many years, Palestinian Christians in the West Bank and Gaza were ignored amid this long conflict. Many Muslim Palestinians wish to see them die, Jewish people reject them for being Palestinians, and the church in the West hardly helps them because many believe if they are Palestinians, they must all be terrorists who are enemies of Israel. GCP is aware of more than 850 Christians in Gaza taking refuge in two church buildings. An evangelical ministry supported by GCP near the area has found some channels to send help to our evangelical brothers there. The ministry informs us that mattresses, blankets, food, milk for babies, drinking water, and medicine are urgently needed. These items can still be found in Gaza, but prices are constantly increasing due to shortages. Please consider helping our brothers and sisters in the middle of this crisis.
