Tibet: The Power of God In Missionary Work

Missionary Amar explains in his latest report that bringing the Gospel to Tibet is no easy feat. Seventy-eight percent of the population identifies as Buddhist and the country is known to have one of the largest communities of Buddhist monks. With the Christian population being almost nonexistent at 0.2%, reaching individuals with the Gospel comes with scrutiny from the state and aggression from the community.

This hasn’t stopped Brother Amar from reaching those who are in desperate search of a Savior. This was the case for Sosohang, a 27-year-old man forced to live at a Buddhist monastery since age four. That is until the day he ran away. He spent months drifting from job to job, feeling purposeless and guilty for leaving the monastery. This is where missionary Amar found him and shared the hope of Jesus with him. Sosohang asked for prayer and felt a change in his heart. He soon started attending our Bible meeting, and for the first time, he found a sense of community and love. He now has a new purpose anchored in the love of Jesus! Sosohang's journey is a testament to the transforming power of faith and a heart renewed through Christ.

Please pray For more opportunities for missionaries to share the Gospel with those who are longing for a Savior. Ask the Lord to open doors for the Tibetan people to hear His Word and experience His transforming love.
