Himalayas: Moving Towards The Unreached!
A distinctive characteristic of GCP has been the fact that we are taking the Gospel to unreached people groups through native ministries in the most cost-effective way possible. An example of this is the work of one of our partnered ministries located in the Himalayan mountains. They evangelize to the Chepang tribe, one of the most isolated tribal groups in Nepal and India. The Chepang tribe has a small population of 50,000 people and live in the Mahabarharat mountains, which are 6,500 feet above sea level. This tribe has a long history of worshipping Hindu gods and their dead ancestors. Our partnered ministry shared that they have been able to reach many people from this tribe and develop a friendship between this community and the church! The tribe is open to hearing about the Gospel, and many members have repented of their sins and accepted Christ! We rejoice and praise the Lord for the work and dedication our partnered ministries have to completing the Great commission!
Please pray that the Lord continue to grant wisdom and provision to our partnered ministries as they share the Gospel to the unreached!
