Nigeria: Medical Students Preaching the Gospel
A few years ago, GCP felt called to help several aspiring Christian doctors who were interested in using their profession to spread the Gospel to the unreached of Nigeria. By covering their tuition, GCP ensured these students would be able to graduate medical school and also dedicate time to the mission field.
One of these students, Anthony Ebenezer, shared with us some of the testimonies he’s witnessed while still in medical school. One involved a man he was caring for who was an alcoholic and was suffering from several medical issues. Brother Ebenezer would frequently talk to this man about Jesus and eventually he gave his life to Christ. Almost immediately after accepting the Lord, the man was healed of his seizures and ulcers! And this is just one of many people that he has been able to lead to Christ since becoming a medical student. He says, “I have many times ministered to some of my patients, holding their hands, while they were at the thresholds of death. I have reminded them of the message of God’s kingdom. And quite a number confirmed their faith in Jesus before passing away.” He concludes by saying, “I am looking forward to sharing more testimonies as I continue my internship!” Praise God!
Please pray that the medical students GCP supports can graduate and be able to not just bring physical healing to the lost, but spiritual healing as well.
