Pakistan: Covid-19 and Floods

A GCP-sponsored ministry leader from Pakistan recently told us that over 2.3 million people have been affected by the terrible floods that have occurred in his country this rainy season. “These have been the worst floods in Pakistan in the last 10 years,” he said. The ministries supported by GCP are prioritizing our Christian family who have lost everything as the government continues to refuse helping them because of their faith.

In addition to the spikes of the virus and losing their jobs due to the lockdowns, the floods have destroyed many of their homes, contaminated their water wells so they have no drinking water, killed their livestock and removed their ability to farm. Many have been forced to sleep outside at water level. GCP continues to provide thousands of $15 food bags for our brothers and sisters, and we’re now adding 5 liters of water with each food bag for $3 more. We’ve been blessed in the West.
