Pakistan: Persecuted by his Own Family

A ministry leader from Pakistan just sent us the following request, “‘S’ was a Muslim and law student who we were able to lead to Christ in October 2019. Since then we’ve discipled him and watched him grow in his faith. However, this came with significant challenges as his family began threatening his life, eventually forcing ‘S’ to run away and settle in a different city.

A few days ago, a family member contacted him and said that his father was very sick and wanted to apologize to ‘S’. He immediately went to see his father, but when he got there, he realized it was a trap. His family took his cellphone from him so he couldn’t call for help and proceeded to torture him. After this, they made a fake case against ‘S’ and eventually got him put in jail. Thankfully, because he was familiar with the law, he was able to call for help and was eventually freed. However, he’s now on the run because his family is hunting him. We’ve tried to send some funds to find a temporary place to relocate him and his wife, but we need more financial support to find him somewhere more permanent.” Prayerfully consider sending an offering to help ‘S’ and his wife relocate; and please pray for their situation.

Please pray that all the new believers being persecuted will stay strong in their faith and will be kept safe. Pray that native missionaries will continue being able to support their spiritual and physical needs.
