Morocco: Uplifting the Moroccan Church

Brother Axel Lanausse, GCP president, praying for a new believer in Morocco.

In June 2024, GCP visited Morocco to evaluate a new ministry. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the ministry leader and witnessed his extraordinary dedication to the Lord immediately. He picked us up with a rented car, which we came to find out was because he not only did not own a car currently…he had never owned a car in his life. Additionally, this leader did not have any regular missionary support. Instead, he worked as a construction worker and during his free time traveled from city to city, planting churches and sharing the Gospel using public transportation. All of this while still supporting a wife and two children.

During our visit, he brought us to small, one-room church, where we met many devoted brothers and sisters in Christ. They preached the Word, sang, and prayed with Jesus always at the center. After the meeting, the group sought a secure place on the beach to baptize a new believer. Thanks to the Lord working through faithful donors, this ministry leader now has regular monthly support and a ministry vehicle, enabling him to expand his outreach and disciple new converts in various cities. GCP has also raised funds to purchase an old house, which will be rebuilt to serve as both a secure meeting place for a growing church and a home for the leader and his family, who currently live with his wife’s Muslim parents. To God be the glory!

Please pray that the Lord will protect and guide this devoted ministry as it continues to reach souls for His Kingdom.
