Yemen/Jordan: “ Relief for Refugees”

Yemen has been going through a civil war since 2015 that has led to the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. Every day, 130 children under 5 die from hunger or disease in Yemen. Sixteen million Yemenis are suffering from starvation or are on the brink of famine.

As a result, millions of Yemenis have had no other option but to flee from their homes. In addition to this already tragic situation, only 0.02% of the population are evangelical Christians. In other words, Yemenis are in desperate need of not just food or water, but Christ as well. This is why GCP supports a ministry in Jordan that is providing food packages and sharing the love of Jesus to these refugees. The ministry leader shared with us, “Thank you very much for your support to help Yemeni refugees with food parcels. There are around 200,000 Yemeni refugees all over Jordan. With your support, we can continue to reach many of them as the Lord provides.” A simple food package for a family of four is $15, which includes items like pasta, lentils as well as hygiene products. In addition to providing relief, these food packages are one of the best ways native ministries get to share the Gospel. Please prayerfully consider helping these Yemeni refugees!

Please pray that the Lord continues to provide native missionaries with the tools to reach out to the Yemeni refugees with His love.
