Nepal: God Heals a Weaver's Hands
Nepal is a nation marked by deep spiritual darkness, ongoing political instability, and economic hardship. With high unemployment rates, thousands of young people are leaving the country in search of better opportunities abroad. Spiritually, Nepal holds the distinction of having the largest Hindu population in the world and was once known as the last official Hindu kingdom.
Yet, in the midst of these challenges, our partnered ministry remains steadfast in its mission: to make disciples of Christ. This commitment is beautifully illustrated in a recent testimony from a native missionary who traveled to a remote mountainous village. There, he encountered a widow suffering from severe arthritis that had taken over her hands. Once a skilled weaver, she could no longer work due to the pain and immobility caused by her condition. She felt purposeless and deeply discouraged. Moved with compassion, the missionary spoke with her about the peace and renewal that can be found in Jesus Christ. With her permission, he began to pray for healing and restoration over her body. Over the course of several weeks, the missionary continued to visit and pray with her. Slowly, the pain began to subside, and to her amazement, she regained strength in her hands.
Not only was she able to return to weaving, but she was so astonished and grateful for the healing that she made a life-changing decision—she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! Today, this widow boldly shares her testimony with her entire village. Once feeling forgotten and hopeless, she is now a vibrant disciple of Christ, bringing hope and truth to those around her.
Please pray that our native missionaries continue shining the light of Christ in Nepal. Pray that many hearts will continue to be open to hearing His truth!
