Odisha: "Caring for our Widowed Sisters"

Christian widows in India oftentimes go through a particularly difficult time after their husbands pass away. Not only are they dealing with the grief of losing their spouse, they are often left without support or any means of taking care of themselves or their families. 

One of the most effective ways GCP has been able to provide for these widows has been by partnering with native ministries to provide our sisters with sewing machines! This tool gives these widows a source of income, allowing them to support their families. This past month, GCP was able to give over 50 sewing machines to widows in the Odisha district!  These sewing machines will empower these women to not just be able to support themselves or their families, but also continue contributing towards the outreach work in their churches!
