Egypt: Another Story of Discrimination
The leader of a GCP-supported ministry in Egypt recently shared his recent struggles with his living situation:
“We as believers face constant discrimination. Last year we rented an apartment and after the owner found out we were believers, she began to harass us in many ways. She started by cutting off the water tap in our apartment and forced us to pay extra water expenses. When we asked her why we had to pay extra, she replied “if you don’t like it you can leave”. The same thing happened with the electricity. Now we pay for the power of all the apartments in our floor. She takes advantage of us, insults us and accuses us for anything wrong that happens in the building just because we are Christians.
Please pray for us to be able to get our own apartment soon. Please pray for our ministry partners in this Muslim country. Pray that God will provide them somewhere better to live, raise their children, and continue their ministry work.
