Pakistan: Freedom For Believers
Debt bondage remains one of the fastest-growing and deadliest practices in South Asia. In Pakistan alone, over 2 million people are trapped in this devastating cycle, passing the burden onto their families. Our missionaries have encountered families stuck in brick kilns, many of whom have already given their lives to Christ. With so many of our brothers and sisters left without options, our GCP missionaries tirelessly work to help these families, offering them a new life both spiritually and physically. Through the support of our GCP donors, several families have been freed from a life of debt slavery in Pakistan’s brick kilns.
For instance, one of our missionaries shared the story of Uzma, a widow and mute mother, who spent years working in grueling conditions with her 14-year-old son to repay a crushing loan. Thanks to the dedication of our missionary team and the generosity of compassionate donors like you, we were able to pay off Uzma’s debt. This breakthrough not only freed them from bondage but also restored their future. Our missionaries don’t stop at freeing these families but also empower them to sustain themselves. Uzma and her son were provided with a small fruit and vegetable cart, allowing them to earn an independent livelihood within their community. GCP missionaries are breaking the chains of poverty and oppression for believers in Pakistan. Thank you for partnering with us to be the hands and feet of Christ to families in desperate need.
Please pray that our GCP partner ministries continue to encourage these families in Christ and that the Lord sustains the path to freedom for our brothers and sisters in bondage.
