Iran: How the Lord is Moving!

Christian literature being produced in the Persian language inside Iran.

The nation of Iran is in turmoil—violence is widespread, countless lives have been lost, and hostility toward the Gospel has intensified. Yet even in the midst of darkness, the light of Christ continues to shine. Our partnered missionaries remain steadfast, refusing to waver in their calling to spread God’s Word. One particularly powerful testimony comes from an Iranian brother who came to faith through the ministry GCP supports there, and was later trained through our discipleship program. Compelled by the love of Christ, he returned to Iran as a missionary. What makes his story remarkable is a personal connection—his relative, a high-ranking military leader, General B., was once his close friend. Despite the dangers, he seized a God-given opportunity to meet with the General, boldly sharing the Gospel and presenting him with a copy of the New Testament. Though the General did not receive Christ that day, a seed was planted—a moment that reminds us how God wants us to reach even the highest ranks of power.

This is just one glimpse of how the Lord is moving in Iran. Inside the country, many brave missionaries risk their lives daily to proclaim the Good News. As our native missionaries continue to work, they will need vital tools, such as supplies for their print shops to continue providing new believers with Gospel of John booklets. Practical needs for the shops include generators, routers/cables, paper, and ink cartridges. Please consider prayerfully giving toward any one of these crucial supplies to support the church in Iran.

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Iran as they continue to stay committed to the mission during these recent escalations. Pray for their protection and guidance.
