West Bengal: A Life Saving Ministry

Our partnered ministry in West Bengal recently updated us on all the work the Lord has been doing in this region! He writes,

“In the last four months, we have opened several clinics on Patharapratima Island in West Bengal. Our ministry saw a need for a medical facility because many people in this region and the surrounding islands live in very poor conditions. Many residents of this island are fishermen and farmers that are susceptible to many diseases because of their work. Government clinics are very expensive and force residents to travel far from their homes. Most people travel by boat, which makes traveling to government clinics more difficult. Our clinic is easily accessible and provides medicine for almost all common diseases. At least 50-60 people every day are provided with free treatments and medications in all clinics. Most importantly, we are the only Christian facility that provides medical services. Almost all the people we serve are Hindus from different unreached ethnic groups who have witnessed the government abandoning their financial and medical needs. Our medical clinics are a way to reach these people and show them the Love of Christ. We are believing for a big revival for Christ as we continue to reach and serve these unreached people groups!”
