Ukraine: Ministry Amidst Crisis

We recently received reports from our missionaries in Ukraine sharing their ministry amidst the continued Russian invasion. One says, “The war in Ukraine has significantly changed our ministry. Since it began, we have started hosting dozens of refugees from the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions in our church and our homes. Every day we fed them, as well as talked and prayed with them.” Another says: “The full-scale war in Ukraine taught us to serve people in a special way. Hundreds of refugees who have been running away from shelling have found refuge in our city. Our home and church became a shelter for hundreds of them because their homes were destroyed. We thank God that we could testify about Him to everyone we’ve met. We pray for all these people and believe that the Word of God will lead many of them to repentance in due time.”

Another one says “Recently, a family of refugees from the Kharkiv region came to our village and asked for help. They are an older man and woman with a daughter and a six-year-old granddaughter. Both elders have disabilities and constantly need medicine. When they fled, they could not take anything, not even their medicine. With God's help and the caring people of our village, we were able to help them with medicine and food. We also gave them a Bible and a children's Bible for the granddaughter. These people settled in our village and began to attend our church meetings. They said that they no longer wanted to go anywhere else and that they had finally found what they had been looking for all their lives – Jesus Christ.” We believe that a great awakening will come for Ukraine and that many people will be saved. Let’s pray for this country and for our missionaries.

Please pray that more Ukrainian refugees will come to know Christ, the ultimate source of refuge and peace.
