Pakistan: A New and Strategic Outreach Tool

Handmade oven/stove that the brick Kilns worker families have been using for cooking.

More than 7 million people in Pakistan are unemployed due to the political instability and environmental challenges that the country is facing. Inflation is also at an all-time high, hitting 36.4% this past March. Pakistanis working in factories, brick kilns, or working for a daily wage suffer the most. Many of these jobs are considered modern slavery because they work extremely long hours for little pay, live in deplorable conditions, and don’t have access to electricity, heat, or necessities.

This is why GCP and our partnered ministry in Pakistan decided to help a group of these workers by providing them with 50 biogas heaters. Biogas heaters are an essential multi-use tool because they provide heat for the brutal winters and double as a stove for cooking. Families can use these heaters for a long time without needing to refuel, and they cost an average of $35 each. Moreover, the missionaries distributing this tool could evangelize and pray with each of these unreached workers that received the heaters. Thank you to all the GCP donors that contributed to these biogas heaters and spreading the Gospel among the unreached of Pakistan!

Please pray that this tool will be a blessing and a light for families in the poorest communities in Pakistan.
