Iraq: Social Media Outreach

Baptism of new believers!

Over 98% of the population of Iraq remains unreached and has little opportunity to hear about the Gospel. Intolerance against Christianity is still dangerously high, which subjects many of them to violence. As a result, many flee the country and those who remain in Iraq are risking their lives. Despite this, GCP and our ministry partner in this region continue to work overtime to find ways to share the Gospel with the Iraqi people. Social media has been a key tool in sharing the Good News. Dozens of Iraqis have already given their life to Christ after seeing videos or posts from this ministry. This is how Ahmad came to know Jesus:

“My name is Ahmad. I visited the ministry's Facebook page 3 months ago for the first time. I became very interested in the videos about the Gospel. In the beginning, I didn’t believe in Jesus or Christianity, but I wanted to know more about other religions. The main thing that caught my attention was many of the comments on the video. Most of the people were insulting the pastor and Christianity itself. However, Christians always answered them in love and never retaliated. I was amazed at how the Christians were able to answer kindly despite the many negative comments they received. I watched more and more videos, and eventually, I reached out to the pastor to ask some questions. I received the church's address and began to participate in the meetings where I learned more about Jesus. The pastor continued to speak to me about the Lord and answer all my questions. After a few weeks, I came to realize Jesus truly is God and put my faith in Him! I thank God for showing me His way and His truth!”
