Iran: The Daily Persecution of Missionaries
Iran remains one of the most difficult and dangerous places to evangelize with the Gospel. The government often targets Christians and missionaries for their faith, which results in them facing long prison sentences due to discriminatory laws. This is now the reality of our GCP-supported missionary who was arrested for distributing Gospel of John books, planting churches, and converting Muslims to Christianity. Missionary Yasir is currently being sentenced to 10 years in prison, leaving behind a wife and child. However, Yasir is using his time in prison to glorify the Lord by being a witness for Christ. Additionally, his wife continues to care for his underground print shop, where they continue to print the Gospel of John. Yasir and his family's unwavering commitment to their ministry truly reflects their devotion to Christ and His mission.
Please pray that the Lord will protect and embolden Brother Yasir and his family. Pray that the church of Iran continues to grow amid persecution and discrimination.
