Ukraine: "The Need for Bibles"

Within the last month, more than 5 million Ukrainians have become refugees, fleeing to
neighboring European countries, while over 10 million have become internally displaced.
Hundreds of children and thousands of adults have already lost their lives escaping from Russian troops. Since the beginning of the war, our partner ministry has had no days off and no consistent work schedule as they’ve scrambled to buy, load, and deliver food and other relief supplies to the most affected cities of the conflict.

GCP has continually been sending funds to provide missionary support and food bags. But one need the ministry has been repeatedly and emphatically requesting has been more Bibles. The ministry reports that the war has made many people hungrier than ever for the Word of God and hundreds have already given their lives after being given a Bible. Just this last month alone, more than 600,000 refugees from Ukraine had the opportunity to hear the Gospel in Romanian churches and are now seeking Bibles in their language. Mayors in several cities also recently requested 2,000 copies to give to the soldiers who fight bravely. Altogether, the ministry would need to print 80,000 copies along with food bags, to meet the demands they are receiving. This is why GCP is also raising funds to help cover the costs of printing these Bibles.

One Bible only costs $5, and a food package $20. Please partner with GCP to help not just take food to Ukraine, but the Word of God as well! And please continue to pray for peace and restoration over Ukraine.
