Pakistan: Afghan Refugees

Afghan refugees are the third-largest displaced population in the world. Nearly 1.3 million registered citizens of Afghanistan are temporarily residing in Pakistan. Among them are many Christians fleeing from the Taliban control because identifying freely as a Christian has become impossible. The number of Christians in Afghanistan is almost unknown, especially after the Taliban take over in 2021.

Our brothers and sisters in this country are left with two options, escape, or be killed for their faith. Most of them had fled from their country without a passport or a visa, and facing many other challenges in the country where they are living, such as lack of job opportunities; fear of the police coming to arrest and deport them at any time, and to make things worse, as Christ believers, people don't rent them a house. Also, if they don’t have a job, they don’t have money to buy food and feed their families.

In the middle of all this, with your help, GCP has been helping those Christian families with food packages and other items to ease their burden in these difficult circumstances they are living. Through a ministry partner in Pakistan, we have been able to also distribute the Word of God among non-Christian refugees. We want to thank each one of you who has made this possible.

Please continue to pray for Christian refugees in Pakistan.
