Myanmar: Establishing the Boy's Center
GCP continues to expand its mission in Myanmar by assisting in constructing a new center for boys, complementing the existing girls' center. The ongoing civil war in Myanmar has created a dire situation for many children. These children lack basic resources because their families are struggling in poverty. As a result, many children are forced to work instead of attending school. Additionally, many families also live in proximity to the war zones, putting children at risk of violence, assault, and displacement. With the first floor of the new building nearly complete, our partnered ministry is ready to take in boys who are in dire need of help by the end of the month! One of the most immediate needs is raising funds for transportation costs. A local pastor urgently requested help rescuing 12 children from a distant village. The costs of transporting the children have escalated due to the war, prompting our partnered ministry to ask for our support. With the cost being $120 per child, we aim to act quickly to provide aid to the boys struggling amid war. The girls’ center has already transformed many lives as they have a new hope in Jesus and a loving community in Christ. With your support, we hope to share the same message to these boys and provide them with a brighter future through Christ.
Please pray that the Lord will provide the funds needed to transport the boys to the brand-new center! Pray that both centers continue to bless the children and provide them a new foundation to be the next generation for Christ!
