The Caucasus: Evangelizing in a Taxi
GCP’s sponsorship program supports over 500 missionaries who are spreading the Gospel in places where it’s not only unheard of, but also dangerous. One of our partnered ministries based in the Caucasus region runs a discipleship training center that equips young missionaries to spread the Gospel among muslins. Many of these missionaries go out onto the mission fields in some of the most dangerous countries in the world for Christians. This amazing testimony below is from one of the many missionaries trained in this very center! Aaron had spent two years preparing and training at the discipleship center. When he graduated, he felt called to return to his home country to serve as a missionary. This neighboring country is a dangerous place to be a Christian and evangelize, but Aaron was dedicated to his mission to share Jesus’s love. When he returned home, his occupation as a taxi driver opened the doors to speak to many people a day. One example is a frustrated Muslim author who had gone into his Taxi. This author opened up to him about his depression, hopelessness, and generally feeling disconnected from the world.
Aaron took this opportunity to share the Good News with them and continue to press on even when the author responded in anger. Aaron decided to give them a Gospel of John booklet and his contact information. Soon after, the author contacted him to ask him questions about the Gospel. Now, the author is extremely grateful that he met Aaron because, through him, he met Jesus Christ. This author and their entire family became devote followers of Christ! Aaron is just one of the amazing GCP-sponsored missionaries working in countries that desperately need the Gospel. It’s native missionaries like him who are reaching the most unreached. Please consider partnering with GCP to support these devoted missionaries!
Please pray that more bold missionaries like Aaron will be sent from our missionary training center in Georgia to reach the unreached with the Gospel!
