Missionary Support: Expanding God's Kingdom

GCP has presently humdreds of missionaries being sponsored in 20 different countries. Our sponsorship program intentionally aims to help missionaries working among unreached nations that largely suffer a high level of persecution. Here is a testimony of one of many of our missionaries persisting through persecution: “I was working with an Afghan couple that had recently given their lives to Christ after I shared the Gospel with them. We grew so close that I ordained their wedding and saw the birth of their first child. As they grew in their faith, so did their desire to return to their home country of Afghanistan to lead others to salvation in Jesus Christ. At this point, we were as close as family and I was very worried that they would be discovered by the Taliban and killed. In a turn of events, the family was arrested here in Iran after the authorities discovered their involvement with Christianity and were sentenced to be deported back to Afghanistan. This surely meant a death sentence as the Taliban would ask why they were being deported. However, amazingly enough, when they arrived in their home country, they weren’t questioned by the Taliban and were welcomed back - no questions asked. So just as they originally intended, they are now ministering in Afghanistan and the Lord is blessing their work.”
