Iraq: Winning Souls Through Online Evangelism

According to the Joshua Project, less than 1% of the population in Iraq is Evangelical, making it one of the most unreached countries in the world. On top of this, Iraq has extremely high rates of persecution and violence toward Christians. Despite these obstacles, our ministry leader in Iraq is determined to spread the Gospel! A strategy that he’s employed that has been extremely effective in this time of Covid-19 and intensifying persecution has been video meetings. Just alone in the past two months, our missionary leader named Samir has led thirteen people from this nation to Christ through these video calls. Through this strategy, he has been able to minister to families and create small groups. Samir will continue to hold these meetings and plans to evangelize to several new families. We praise God for this leader’s dedication to finding new ways to reach the unreached!
Please pray that the Lord will continue to open doors for the Gospel and continue to protect Christians and missionaries in Iraq.
