Israel/Palestine: Hope Amidst Rising Tensions

For years, GCP has been reaching Israelis and Palestinians by supporting native missionaries preaching the Gospel to this people. This past May, an increase in tensions in the region lead to over 200 deaths and many more injured throughout Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. In the middle of this conflict, one of GCP’s sponsored missionaries described the situation:

“Things are very bad right now and could get worse as both parties are promising escalation of violence. Many in the church are concerned for their families who are living in Gaza, but the church is seeking the face of God, praying for peace. Every morning we are praying on zoom and in the evening in the church building. The only thing that can move mountains is our faith and the key is prayer.” Although a ceasefire has been declared since this brother wrote to us, tensions remain high. Many are relying on politics to permanently resolve this conflict, while others are depending on activism. But we know that the only hope this region has is Jesus. And despite it constantly being at the brink of all-out war, these missionaries continue win Palestinian and Israelis souls for Christ. Please consider sponsoring one of these native missionaries to help continue to take the Gospel to a place that is in desperate need of it!

Please pray that God continue to bring Israelis and Palestinians to the knowledge of Jesus Christ in this region.
