West Bengal, India: Relief for Families during Monsoon Season

In July, native missionaries supported by GCP demonstrated the love of Christ by serving 100 Christian families in West Bengal! Due to the harsh monsoon season, farmlands have been flooded, and a government-imposed fishing restriction has made food both scarce and expensive. Many families, already struggling with poverty, are now facing even greater challenges because of the relentless rainfall. The missionaries were able to provide large food packages to every family. Each package contained a generous supply of rice, potatoes, onions, soybeans, red lentils, a packet of biscuits, a liter of cooking oil, and essential spices for everyday cooking.

These packages are intended to help families endure the monsoon season while also serving as a demonstration of God’s great mercy and compassion. Every family expressed their deep gratitude to GCP donors for bringing them relief and comfort, inspired by God's love.

Please pray that the families affected by flooding and food shortages in West Bengal will find strength, comfort, and provision through God’s mercy.
