Nepal: A Light in the Darkness

On November 3rd, a devastating 6.4 earthquake hit the Jajrkot and Rukum region of Nepal. This disaster tragically took over 150 lives and left hundreds of more people severely injured and with nothing. Homes, buildings, and the local hospital collapsed during the earthquake. Our partnered ministry shared a summary of the conditions the survivors are living in:

“The situation is desperate. People have lost food, clothes, bedding, and other necessities. They no longer have a home, so they are sleeping in plastic sheds outside. Now in the middle of winter, the situation has worsened.”

GCP and our partnered ministry are working hard to help the survivors with hundreds of food packages, water, and warm clothing now in the winter.
