Ethiopia: Reaching the Unreached amid War

Ethiopia is suffering immensely as civil war, disease, and natural disasters sweep the country. Airstrikes and bombings have taken the lives of dozens of innocent children, women, and elderly people in northern Ethiopia. Homes, schools, hospitals, and other buildings have been destroyed amid the war as well. This has led to the region having no power, internet, clean water, and an extreme food shortage. Additionally, because of natural disasters, the region is facing an epidemic of malaria and cholera. Between the disease spreading rapidly and the lack of food and water, an estimated 10,000 people have died from these horrible conditions alone.

Despite these circumstances, GCP-sponsored missionaries haven’t stopped reaching those in need of the Lord. They continue to share the Gospel with those in desperate need of salvation and God’s love. Before the war, our missionaries would travel during the night from village to village sharing “The Jesus Film”. Since there is now a strict curfew because of the war, they are spending their days going from house to house to show the film in smaller groups. These missionaries require more Bibles to distribute and more projectors to display the film. One Bible is $8 and small projectors are $300 each, with 10 projectors urgently needed. Please consider partnering with us to reach Ethiopians during this challenging time in their country.

Please pray for peace and restoration over Ethiopia. Please pray that the Lord will protect those in deep suffering and that our missionaries can continue to show them the light of Christ.
